IF YOUR CHILD IS CONSIDERED A “CLOSE CONTACT TO A POSITIVE COVID CASE,” you will likely receive a call from the Mississippi County Health Department saying that your child will need to be quarantined. However, in accordance with our 2021-2022 reopening plan, if your child does not have symptoms of COVID or has not tested positive, they will be allowed to attend and participate in school and school activities in-person. In this situation we ask that you monitor your child’s symptoms at home, and if they develop symptoms do not send them to school.
IF YOUR CHILD DEVELOPS COVID SYMPTOMS OR TESTS POSITIVE at any point, they will need to be quarantined. Contact your child’s school office to inform them and to get any missed work.
ALL STUDENT ATHLETES MUST FOLLOW MSHSAA/DESE GUIDELINES regarding close contacts. For more information, see your child’s coach or the Athletic Department.
