This temporary district-wide closure will allow for deep cleaning and social distancing following a spike in positive COVID cases.
Principals will reach out to families with any special instructions.
The decision to close buildings down was made in cooperation with the Mississippi County Health Department.
Schools affected include Charleston High School, Charleston Middle School, and Hearnes Elementary.
Students and teachers are expected to return to their regular Blended A/B schedules on Monday, October 12.
This will affect Blended A/B students only. JaysAway 100% Virtual students are not affected whatsoever.
At this time, all activities, including CHS Homecoming and Senior Night, will not be held as planned.
The MealsAway Meal Delivery program will still take place per usual, with meals being delivered to multiple sites as well as available via drive thru behind Charleston High School.
